About Us

Circle of Heroes

Circle of Heroes is a distinguished group of individuals, organizations, businesses and civic leaders who wish to expand the important work of LAPD Devonshire PALS in our community. A Circle of Heroes annual gift ensures that PALS programs remain strong and continue to serve youth in extraordinary ways. We are extremely grateful for our Circle of Heroes Members. For information about joining our 2024 Circle of Heroes, please contact our Executive Director, Nancy Hofmeister at (818) 885-6433 or palsprograms@devonshire-pals.org.

Community Volunteers Get Involved!

Volunteers are valuable mentors who provide support with the day to day operations at the youth center such as teaching classes, supervising children and tutoring. PALS also provides supervision and mentorship from college students, interns, and high school students who volunteer in their community while earning service learning credits at school. Our enthusiastic community volunteers are great examples of the value of hard work and the importance of community service. The success of our program is made possible by the contribution of their time and talent and the willingness to make a difference.

All volunteers are screened and trained in our programs. To become a volunter, please stop by the office to get more information and pick up a volunteer package.

We Serve over 100 Kids per day but Impact One Child at a Time…

None of this would be possible without the generosity of the donors and partners who provide the much needed contributions to support LAPD Devonshire PALS. PALS relies on private donations, an annual giving campaign, event fundraising and grants to fund our programs. Since our core programs are offered free of charge, we turn to our community for our support. Our community recognizes government services are not enough to impact change. Our community recognizes that achieving redefined outcomes in people’s lives affects all of us in the City of Los Angeles and beyond. Youth development is a priority for our city and in our local neighborhoods. We all experience its ripple effect.
